Gorgeous: Gal Gadot, age 38, looked stylish as she wore a cute maroon skater dress with delicate floral lace as she got on a water taxi in Venice on Tuesday. In August, Gal talked about the injuries she suffered while working on her latest film, Heart Of Stone. She shared that she has four slipped discs in her neck and back due to filming intense fight scenes for the spy action movie for Netflix.
Gal, who is a mother to three daughters – Alma (12), Maya (6), and Daniella (2) – with her husband Jaron Varsano (48), also mentioned that she often receives strange looks because of the bruises she gets from the action scenes. Despite this, she enjoys doing many of her stunts in films, including the one-on-one combat sequences which make her feel empowered and in control.
Speaking to The Sun, Gal admitted, “I had plenty of bruises. I remember one Sunday I was walking with the girls in the park in London and someone looked at me weird. I was wearing a summer dress, unaware of the bruises on my legs and back. People were giving me strange looks, but these physical injuries are inevitable in my line of work.” She disclosed that she has two neck herniations and two back herniations, but she considers it just a part of the job unfortunately.
All aboard: The actress from Wonder Woman pulled her dark hair back into a sleek bun and added a stylish touch with a pair of oversized Gucci sunglasses.
“There are aspects of filming that I’m not particularly fond of. However, I really enjoy the physical combat and hand-to-hand fighting scenes,” Gal expressed. She compared fighting to a form of dance, explaining how it allows her to express herself through movement. She emphasized that during fight scenes, she feels a strong sense of control.
After winning the title of Miss Israel in 2004, Gal served two years of mandatory military service before pursuing a career in law while also working as a model. Her martial arts prowess made its debut on the big screen in 2009 when she portrayed the action-oriented character Gisele Yashar in Fast & Furious. She continued to showcase her skills in the sequels Fast Five in 2011 and Fast & Furious 6 in 2013, performing many of her own stunts.
The movie star is well-known for taking on her own stunts in movies, especially the intense combat scenes like the one shown in the 2017 film Wonder Woman. She has always been excited about pushing herself to perform these daring action sequences.
